This Tempranillo is a mashup of old-world and new. The nose goes old (plum, black currant and dirt) while the palate trends toward new (more plum and cherry). Leather, tobacco and spice round things out - while the tannins keep the finish nice and dry.

This is "wheel-house" stuff for us. The goal has always been to make a Tempranillo from California...that tastes like a Tempranillo from Spain. This one gets pretty damn close. The wine was aged for nearly 20-months in French, American and Hungarian oak barrels. The final alcohol content is 14.4% by volume and a total of 140 cases were produced.
