Not necessarily what you'd expect to get from a "Lodi" Syrah...but don't let that trip you up. Dark fruit (think blackberry), earth and meat dominate the nose. The fruit screams through on the palate (without being too obnoxious) and is framed nicely by soft tannins and subtle oak.

  • When we first started working with Syrah...we totally planned to use it only for blending. But then we tasted it. It's now part of the regular line up. It might not be as "brooding" as Syrah can sometimes be...but if you like the grape...you'll like this one. The wine was aged for nearly 20-months in French and American oak barrels. The final alcohol content is 14.3% by volume and a total of 93 cases were produced.
